Terms and conditions
Please read this notice carefully before using this website. This notice governs the use of the website, all the information on the website as well as information submitted and bookings placed.
Meter fare
Travel Electric BV (hereinafter: Travel Electric) by default uses the meter tariff to determine the trip fare unless otherwise agreed. The charges below are including 9% VAT:
· Initial charge: € 3.20
· Per kilometer charge: € 2.40
· Per minute charge: € 0.40
· Waiting rate € 45 per hour
Travel Electric is entitled to charge a waiting rate with immediate effect if the passenger is not present at the agreed time or, if a driver is ordered on a call-off basis, from the moment the driver arrives. The waiting rate is € 45 per hour.
Schiphol Airport protocol
We offer different pickup types at Schiphol Airport. For all options, the driver must be pre-booked and the passenger’s name, mobile phone number, credit card number and flight number must be provided.
Meeting-point pickup
Unless otherwise agreed, our driver will wait for the passenger at the agreed meeting point at Schiphol Plaza 10 minutes after arrival of the passenger’s flight.
Meet-outside pickup
Please call us on when your plane has landed and you passed Customs on +31 88 100 4444. Are you traveling with luggage? Please call us after collecting your luggage from the baggage claim. Our driver will wait for you at the agreed point outside the terminal building. If you are not present within 15 minutes after the agreed time, Travel Electric is entitled to charge waiting rate.
Cancellation
Cancelling a reservation is free of charge up to one hour prior to the pick-up time. If a reservation is cancelled within one hour prior to pick-up time, Travel Electric is entitled to charge 100% of the fare. If the reservation is not cancelled before pick-up time (no-show) Travel Electric is entitled to charge 100% of the fare plus the waiting rate if applicable.
In case Travel Electric has not been notified in a timely manner, the passenger is not available by phone and the passenger is not present within 10 minutes after the agreed time, Travel Electric considers the ride as a no-show-ride.
A ride from Schiphol Airport is considered as a no-show-ride if both the passenger and the person who booked the driver are not available by phone and/or the passenger has not checked in with the driver at the meeting point within one hour after flight arrival.
Payment with debit/credit card
All drivers are able to accept payment by debit and credit card. Travel Electric reserves the right to charge any additional costs incurred for credit card payments if applicable.
Update Notifications
Passengers will receive timely updates regarding the status of their reservation, any changes that might occur, and confirmation messages
Upon the arrival of the driver, passengers will receive driver details, including the driver’s name, contact number, and vehicle information.
SMS
By adding your phone you authorize to receive SMS from Travel Electric. Rates and fees may apply.
Opt-Out Option
Passengers may opt out of receiving these notifications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in our messages or contacting our customer support.
Please note, opting out of these notifications may impact the passenger’s travel experience due to a lack of real-time information regarding their booking.
Privacy Assurance
Travel Electric respects the privacy of our passengers. Mobile numbers will be used exclusively for sending relevant updates and will not be shared with unauthorized third parties.
The processing and storage of personal data will adhere to the AVG (Algemene Verordening Persoonsgegevens) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) guidelines.
Other terms and conditions
Passenger gives Travel Electric permission to store and process personal data for the execution of trips within the guidelines of the AVG (Algemene Verordening Persoonsgegevens), the Dutch equivalent of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) of the EU.
Travel Electric reserves the right to change the rates and conditions. Dutch law shall govern these terms and conditions. All disputes shall be submitted and settled at the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
